More women than ever before are surviving—and thriving—despite the diagnosis of breast cancer. That they're able to do so is a tribute to the marvels of science. But it's also a reflection of individual heroism and courage. The Valley Quilt honors both the survivors of breast cancer and those who ultimately lost their battles.
